Sparkling Peaches

EDIT: So it looks like I'm in more need of a nap then I thought! I thought I posted this on Tuesday but looks like I just hit save. Sorry!!

Well I have official survived the Jonas Brothers! Last year I had to work Hannah Montana and this year I got Jonas Brothers. (Hannah Montana was much worse noise and crowd wise.) I don't know if this is God's way of showing me what it would be like when I have kids to prepare me for it or what, but this is pretty much the highlight of any young kids life that was there. I'm amazed of how into it they are. I know I was a fan of New Kids on the Block in the 80's but I don't think I was as jazzed as the kids at these concerts now a days. I love my niece and nephew and they know I'll do anything for them so when they asked me to come ride in a limo with a bunch of screaming kids I do because I love seeing them hyped up.

For me the JoBros run around stage too much so out of the 50 pictures I took I got this one good one:

And if you want to know what a screaming audience is it looks like this:

At the finish of the day I was really excited about a much needed cocktail waiting for me when I got home as I was waiting for my hearing to return. I was talking with my friend Laura last week brainstorming about what I could do with some left over peach schnapps I had collecting dust in the cabinet. She told me about a drink her grandmother used to make with fresh peaches. I substituted canned peaches and it was a wonderful drink, but I think the fresh peaches would work best.

Sparkling Peaches

1 can (15.25 oz) sliced peaches
1/4 cup (or enough to cover peaches) peach schnapps
1 bottle champagne

Combine peaches and schnapps together and mash peaches until combined. Let the combination sit overnight.

In a glass place 1 tablespoon of the peach flavoring then top off with champagne.

For the kiddos I think using some peaches and peach ice cream topped with sprite would be very tasty.

Thanks Ashley and Josh for being such cool kids! Love ya!!
