Cut Out Cookies

IMG_4732

I love sugar cookies! They are so fun to decorate and go with any occasion. I decided to make cut out cookies as the party favor instead of something no one is ever gonna use again. They turned out super cute! I wasn’t happy with the way the bottles looked, I’ll have to work on decorating those better next time, but the onsies and ducks came out cute.

The recipe comes from my mom, which I’m not sure where she got it from, but I’m sure it’s a good standard one that’s floating around the internet.

Frosting

⅓ cup soft butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla (use clear if making a white icing)
3 tablespoons water

Mix together and ice cookies. Add any sprinkles or whatever you want. Let dry thoroughly.

  3. I used this recipe to make J, A and 1 cookies for Juan Antonio's 1st birthday. We did a sesame street theme, brought to you by the letters J, A and the number 1. They turned out so cute and everyone LOVED the cookies!
