Tostada Cups

IMG_3984 [800x600] With the holiday’s fast approaching, I thought I would share one of my favorite ways to present appetizers. These tostada cups are really sturdy and look a lot better than those store brand chips. They’re really easy to make ahead of time too and then fill them the day of your party. I used them during the rice festival for my black bean and corn rice filling and I was shocked at how big of a hit they where.

Would love to know what you would fill yours with!

  1. Neat idea to make your own. Don't get a bunch of broken ones in a bag either.

  2. This is a really cute idea are these the small muffin pans or a regular size muffin?

  3. You could use either. If you did the mini pans like I did above use the smaller taco size tortillas, which hold about a tablespoon of filling. If you want larger ones use the bigger fajita tortillas.

  4. Sprinkle with some cinnamon sugar for a sweetend chip and use as a holder for dessert. Don't be limited to appetizers, try different varieties!

  5. Allie--I love doing this to serve appetizers! But, I have only ever used them for dessert (not sure why I never thought of savory dishes)! Can't wait to do this at our next dinner party!
