The last 2 things I made for Dinner club where items I did in years past for another party. Intestines are a sure way to gross out your guest, but I promise these will taste really good. I used more black food coloring and a red gel one to make it a little darker then last years. The recipe can be found HERE.
I have to admit they did look kind of nasty before I put it in the oven to bake. haha
My other special cocktail was the Brain Hemorrhage Shots (Click HERE for the recipe). They where a huge hit, because it’s more of a sweet shot and not such a strong liquor burn.
I hope I inspired you to get creative with your Halloween meals and would love to hear what you’re making. Send me a picture and I’ll do a blog post featuring your dish.
Another one that sounds gross, but the recipes look very tasty.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to make a healthier version of spinach artichoke dip so here is my recipe:
ReplyDelete1 medium red onion, 1 Tbs, of garlic, 1 lb fresh spinach, 1 can artichoke hearts in brine, 1 cup fresh mozzarella, 1/4 of a block of low fat cream cheese, 5oz of plain greek yogurt.
Sautee onions and garlic in a little olive oil, I threw in red pepper flakes to make it spicy, while onions and garlic sautee, run your knife through the spinach and artichokes. Once onions are soft add chopped spinach in handfuls until you have added it all, then add artichokes, let these cook for about 5 minutes. Then add 5oz of greek yogurt, mozzarella, cream cheese, I also added some freshly grated parmesan. Season to taste, you can serve this as is or throw it in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes or its browned on top.
Serve with Wheat thins- so yummy!
Thanks for the recipe I wil have to give it a try!
