Smells of the Season

IMG_6134

I hope Santa brought you everything you had on your list! We had an easy year this year, I didn’t decorate and have all the stress of the season since I’m pregnant I decided to build up my energy for next year when we have our baby boy to enjoy it with. I wanted to share one thing since we didn’t have the sights of Christmas in our house we did have the smells of the season. I even packaged up some of these and added them in my gift baskets this year.

Holiday Stove Top Potpourri Mix
(Adapted from Make It Do)

Printer Friendly Version

one whole orange or just the orange peel
1/2 cup cranberries
1 Tbsp. whole cloves
3 sticks of cinnamon or a small handful of small pieces of cinnamon
a bit of grated nutmeg if desired

Quarter the orange. Put all the ingredients into a saucepan. Fill pan with water. Place on the stove on the smallest burner, on the lowest setting. Refill water as needed.

  2. We got a very big surprise at XMAS. My BIL said the blessing and at the end said "please help us be able to raise our new baby, AMEN" Then my sister (who is 46) hollered out, "I'm 5 weeks pregnant"

None of us sisters (3 of us) have kids.... The 1st in our family.
