Mongolian Beef with Peanut Noodles

It's another busy week and I love quick meals like this to serve when we're in a hurry. If there's one thing we love to eat it's Asian food. We usually eat it out, but every once in a while I use the seasoning packets for a quick week night meal. I had taken out a package of shoulder steak from the freezer to use with the mongolian beef packet. Now usually it's hit or miss if these little packets are gonna be good after your used to your local restaurants flavoring. We really enjoyed this one so I'll be buying it again. I've been playing around with a new side dish recipe and we really liked it so I hope you give it a try. Spicy Peanut Noodles are super easy to toss together while you're cooking up your meat. You could easily add some cooked chicken to the noodles to make it a one dish meal. As usual we like it spicy so adjust your seasoning if you like it a little more mild.
Spicy Peanut Noodles

spaghetti noodles
1/3 up peanut butter
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon seasme oil
1 teaspoon cayanne, or to taste
dash of red pepper flakes

Cook pasta according to directions on package. Combine all other ingredients in a saucepan and heat until warmed and well combined. Toss with noodles and serve.

  1. I thought those were the Japanese Buckwheat Noodles when I 1st saw the picture. They do look good and if I use the buckwheat noodles they will fall within the diet that I'm on.

I'll have to see if I can find that seasoning mix.
