Mother's Day recap

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day! We had my husbands mom over for a late lunch. My hubby grilled Salmon and I made my maple-glazed potatoes and Trisha Yearwood's asparagus bundles. I'll be posting that recipe soon. I also made my raspberry lemon almond tea which is super yummy if you haven't already given it a try.

Before I show you what I did for dessert I wanted to congratulate Angela for winning a bag of Jack Daniels Charcoal. I'll have another bag to give away next month so be sure to check back. Angela if you would please email me at crazystar32@gmail.com and I'll get it right out to you.

For dessert I made Mary's Old Fashioned Lemon Pudding and decided to decorate it with some fancy chocolate. I put the pudding in martini glasses then garnished them with the white chocolate I piped out. There's really no recipe for this you just want to melt your chocolate over a double boiler.

Transfer the melted chocolate to a baggie then snip the corner off for the desired thickness. If you have a template you want to follow cover the paper with parchment paper then pipe on the design. It's as simple as following the lines.

I ended up just free styling a bunch of stuff out.

For the butterfly I piped the antenna and wings separately.

Once they hardened I piped a thick center for the body then propped up the wings using kisses.

I returned it back to the fridge to harden then once it's harden you can garnish your dish how you would like.
